Private-i shared a very funny list from email, that is so good, I must share it with you.
My favorites were #1, 2, 13 and 32. But #26 has spurred this blog post. It is about traffic:
26. I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars team up to prevent a jerk from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers and sisters!
I believe that if you let someone in front of you when they’ve been waiting to get in for a while (and no sign of letting up soon), you should let them in. In turn, when you are waiting with no sign of an easy in, someone else will let you in.
The exception to this Car-mic rule is when the jerk drives on the shoulder of the road or the lane that is ending to thwart the long line of good karma drivers. This guy deserves to be blocked out for at least 20 cars past where he would have been if he followed the rules. It is up to us, drivers of the highly trafficked roads! Don’t let that guy in. He (sometimes she) is a jerk and deserves to wait. Don’t let the inching in scare you. He is fully aware that if he hits your car it will slow his trip down and will scuff his pretty little car… he won’t do it. This is the time that staying 6 inches from the bumper in front of you is OK – you can do it. I have faith.
Do you have any driving rules that you go by, no matter what?
