Each day, the Bean gets a little report card from daycare. It includes everything from what she ate, when and how much she slept and any notes the “teacher” has. Her new teacher is one of the more cheery people I’ve ever met, so when her note said that she had an “OK day”, I knew this couldn’t be good.

I wasn’t all that shocked that her day wasn’t spectacular. She’s been going through a phase where she doesn’t want to eat. It isn’t that she won’t eat, it is that she wants to debate the importance of every bite to her nutritional needs. Debate / throw food on the ground… same same right? She also has a tooth that is coming soon. Really soon. This means that she is less than pleased with the feeling of a tiny tooth ripping its way through her gums.

It wasn’t the food or general grumpiness though. Nope. She and one of her friends had a disagreement over who got to play with a chair and the friend pulled out the big guns teeth. The Bean got bit  by another child.

It seems as though the daycare did everything they needed to do, so I am not upset with them. I am sad about my baby getting hurt though. This happened at 10 am and at 7 PM I was able to take a picture of it. It looks like a little bruised bite mark. I am glad that she didn’t retaliate. Not only would it be bad behavior, she would get made fun of for giving a little beaver bite because she only has two top and two bottom teeth. Good call, Bean!

* For those of you who don’t know me, I feel I need to explain that I know “An” was not used properly. Her previous teacher would send home notes saying that she had an good day.
