In looking for inspiration, I came across this one:
If you were to make a time capsule today to be opened in 50 years, what would you put in it?
This intrigues me.
Do you make it sentimental? Including photos, knick-knacks that remind you of a person or time right now.
Do you make it factual? Include a newspaper, ads including prices of various products, straight stats on family and friends.
Do you make it humorous?Including a Twinkie to see how long it will last?
Do you even bother? Why make an item that forces you to look backward? You should only look forward!
I never thought about it before, but Mount Crumpit is like a HUGE time capsule.
Because of that, I would include blue prints to the house (recently found) and pictures of all the work in progress. I would include Bean related knick-knacks (her coming home outfit, and a few things that have sentimental value), I would take a picture of myself and a newspaper, including ads. Maybe a little boring to some, but I think would be fun to look at in 50 years. Finding these kinds of things in Mount Crumpit have been interesting to me, I think it would be interesting to the next generation as well.
What would be in your time capsule?
