As a new mom, it is my job to be paranoid and to read every book, blog and web site claiming to know anything (which has to be more that I know). Any new sound comes with research to find out what it was, if it is normal and how to make it stop if it is bad or continue if it is good.
I do my job well.
When my milk first came in, I had the thought that it was my super power. But that was my own silly mind… one of the “experts” didn’t say so. (By “expert” I mean any one of the dozens of sources I’ve accepted as gospel… most fully admit they aren’t experts, just have stories to share).
Now, my thought has been verified. I am in fact a Super Hero. I grow humans and make food for them. Some of the powers listed here I have not perfected, but I am certain it is only because of lack of opportunity. Anything mentioned that can be done w/ a single six-month-old, I have done and more. Now… Hear me say: They call me Mommy… hear me r … well, hear me make raspberry noises. Loudly and proudly. (and sometimes in public)
Like most super heroes, I didn’t get to pick my power. I thought I’d want other powers over the ones I have (still wouldn’t mind being able to fly), but these powers are pretty cool.
