Today I report nothing. OK… I have something, but no disasters. It has been a while hasn’t it?
Mount Crumpit is quiet, even though there has been worker bees (new ones and old ones). I am not sure if things are just going smoothly or if it is the calm before the storm.
The asbestos people are finished and it is no longer a death trap (ok… small dramatization, but it is all fine now). There is no garbage in the basement (It was piled high in every room before). As a matter of fact, there is nothing in the basement. It is kind of strange. I think I found the last of the surprise rooms. The room with the dirt floor is actually under the front porch and has one odd item… but only because I couldn’t bare to get rid of it. It is an old bath tub (iron and ceramic). It weighs around 800 pounds (at least) and although I don’t want it, I think someone else may. It is a great tub — really! Alas, it is out of the way and clearly I have a little bit of the gmom in me.
Now we have electricians and Monday Papa Smurf comes to install the boiler.
This weekend I am going to do the prep work to paint and decorate The Bean’s nursery. I cannot tell you how exciting this is for me. I went through a pregnancy, birth and almost four months of baby — all without being able to decorate a baby’s room. This is a stick that I FINALLY get to get, and I cannot wait.
