It’s funny how people report ages through life. New babies get to measure their age in days. Then the age is measured in weeks, then months, then fractions of years (5 and a half). I am not really sure when age is only measured in years (seems like it is around puberty), but then it is often falsely measured in years. People will get a fake id to get in a bar, or lie about their age to attract a suitor, then pretend to be 29, 39, etc., to feel younger.

Today, the kiddo is 18 days old. She has gained 1 pound 4 ounces and has grown 3/4 ” since she was born. (It is also funny that the goal is for her to gain weight, and for me to lose it… hopefully at a different pace. I don’t want to count ounces coming off… only pounds.) She is holding her head up, watches me and eats and sleeps according to the magical doctor created schedule. All is well in baby land…
