I have many things to write about, but not enough time to write about them. I will, in due time.

For now, I bring you baby updates.

– She is still doing well and is more active than ever. I think she is practicing for the Hokey Pokey world tour.

– She is 4 pounds 10 ounces! (as a reminder, I am 31 weeks… this is 75th percentile range… EEK!)

– The 75th percentile apparently translates into a baby who is over 9 pounds. NINE pounds! First and foremost, I want a healthy baby. But if you can help visualize a small baby, that would be awesome. Small head. Small shoulders. All good. Thanks!

– At last week’s appointment, she was breach. Because we are getting to the end, there is less room to move around. As of today, she has her head down (where it “should” be). I am hoping it stays that way. If you can help visualize her staying there, that would also be awesome.

– Today was her latest sonogram. The picture isn’t as good as it has been, but here it is. In motion, I could see her suckling, which was SOOO awesome. According to the doc, all is well. She has a big brain and everything growing as it should.

I can’t wait to meet her!

– Pene Polla is not chicken pasta.
– Having a dinner party for 16 people isn’t as easy as I was hoping it would be, but not as hard as others explained it would be.
– There are others who have had baby girls and have included no pink in either the decor nor the clothing. And not surprising, they also don’t have three heads.
– You have to pick out doctors before there is a person who needs the doctor.
– Paying off student loans is ridiculously difficult to do.

This week my little alien is 29 weeks along and apparently knows how to blink. I guess this is a good skill to learn early. According to the site, she is the size of a butternut squash ( 15 inches long, and approx 2.5 pounds). She seems to be doing well and I am still enjoying this very odd time in my life.

Hubby is playing his first paid gig at Sterling Fest near our house this weekend and I am very excited for him. Maybe by him being a “rock star” he won’t be a “dork” in our daughter’s eyes??? I don’t have anything like that to take away my “dork” image, but maybe he can do it? Eh, long shot.

This week brings a new set of things I’ve learned and observed. My latest nickname at home is Tortuga because if I am sitting on the ground, I look like a turtle when I try to get back up.

This week my loving hubby informed me that I am beginning to waddle.

It is becoming increasingly difficult to get off the couch or out of bed without assistance.

I can still see my feet, but putting socks on is a new challenge.

This week alone I’ve had blood drawn three times and gotten two shots. Before this little adventure into creating new life, I can’t recall the last time I went to the doctor. Now I have more doc appointments than I care to admit to.

I’ve had flashbacks to 7th grade science when determining your blood type.

My Halloween costume is going to be a mummy.

I have a new found fascination with my belly button. It is still an “inny”, but it is beginning to come out.

I found the place where I am going to deliver the baby. While there, I found myself counting how many people can fit comfortably in the waiting area and I think there is enough space for the “fam”… but I am not sure.

My list of foods I eat shrank again. Foods that I love (specifically spicy foods) are causing the child to be UNHAPPY, leading me to not be as happy… so sadly, I will have to put these on hold (much to my disappointment). The child also reacts EASILY to sugar rushes and caffine.

This week I am 28 weeks, she is approx 15″ long and weighs about 2 1/2 pounds. I am out of food ideas for comparisons… I think comparing her to cabbage is too weird, even for me. I may pick it back up when we are in the melon range.
