I am now walking into week 19 of this “joyous” event called pregnancy. This week I learned one very important lesson. When the doctor offers you drugs to help with nausea, TAKE THEM! There is no heroism in being sick for two months straight. There is NO reason your friends and family have to deal with your grumpiness because you’ve been sick for two months straight. Really. Drugs are good.
Also this week, I officially did feel the baby move. And I am back on the band wagon that I felt it last time too. You would think this is something that a woman “knows”. Something that as soon as it happens, she can jump with joy and tell everyone about. No… it is confusing, vague and one of the things that helps reinforce the thoughts that pregnant women are insane.
To answer a comment, I do have plans to sew. (Look at me nesting!) I got patterns to make a bumper and cover for a crib and bassinet. I’ll def do the bassinet, but the crib will depend on other sheets and decor I use for the room. We will see. I will make a diaper bag and accoutrement hanging bag to hang from the changing table, which is way cute in the picture.
I am still in “normal clothes”, but expect that to change soon — especially since I am not on the pregnancy diet plan (aka, pregnancy induced bulimia). Baby is 6 ” now — still looking for a fruit/veggie that is that height. I hope we only need one more, since next week we find out the sex (hopefully.)
Enjoy your weekend.
